ABN AMRO, Netherlands: Change management

The challenge:

  • The Dutch ABN AMRO Hypotheken Groep wants to re-structure their activities in Germany.
  • An interim manager from an external consultancy company shall be assigned as general manager.

The solution:

Capellmann Consulting was assigned:

  • to take over the interim management as general manager.
  • to restructure the overall sales & marketing organisation in Germany and all administration functions in the mid office.
  • to coordinate the risk management and compliance between Germany and the Netherlands.

The result:

  • Existing organisations in Amersfoort and Frankfurt restructured
  • Brand communication for agents established
  • Image as a competent supplier achieved through press and media work in 2006/ 2007
  • Distribution network with 300 active brokers installed
  • Portfolio of 850 million € for loans to purchase residential real estate property build-up
